Career Reflection Why I chose this career was that I love to draw unique or fantasy things from my imagination. Another reason I would choose this career is that I like people to see my artwork. They are several groups or artists. Some examples are Art directors, Multi-Media artists, animators, Fine artists, craft artists, Illustrators, Cartoonists, and sketch artists. If you’re an art director they design magazines, newspapers, and other digital form. Multi Media and animators make art film on video, or on computers. Fine artist create regular art which could be painting illustrating, sketching, printmaking, and other things.
The education or training requirements are not really necessary for this career. If you want to take courses, you could take courses in high school. If you want to be a successful artist, it is highly recommended to take classes. The salary for being an artist depends. In May 2008, the average wage for art directors was $88,510, multi-media artists get an average get $62,380. Fine artists get an average of $48,300, and craft artists get $32,570 a year.
If you’re an art director or Multi-Media, you may use math to tell how big they should make the pictures. If an artist got a request from someone that they need to make something that involves measuring, then that involves math. Maybe an artist need to make a sign and the have to make sure the sentence made sense and everything needs to be spelled correctly , so that means, the artist needs to know some knowledge about language arts.
I chose this career because; I love to draw whatever I think of in my imagination. I feel well suited for this profession because I have art class once a week and I’m not a horrible drawer.
